This was for my reactive GSD, it did not fix his fear issues. But it was a way to transition him from wearing a muzzle in public and helped both of us gain confidence walking together.
My current dog is larger and, of course, reactive too. With him it is excitement, not fear, and I am having a hard time correcting his outbursts without ruining the enthusiasm he has seeing other dogs. hoping I can get him to accept the head halter so social interactions get more manageable.

She was advised to try a halti or gentle leader to bring the dog under control. My situation is similar and I am asking for advice. I am 73-year-old woman in good shape but I have two 6.8 pound morkies who are surprisingly strong and pull me when I walk them. I walk them individually when I can, but that is not always the option available. I want to make sure that I have my sweet little guys under control as I hope to live to be 83-years-old and continue to walk them. I do not want to experience the falls and injuries that this woman incurred walking her 20 pound cairn terrier. Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated. Thank you.

Will pull your arm out of the socket if she doesn’t have one on.

We now have a 7mth cockerpoo, cannot get hold of a small size gentle leader anywhere!! The tugging continues!!
