I always try to set the rules from the very beginning, but this is your choice. It will probably make it a little more difficult if you allow your puppy to sleep in your bed the first night before starting crate training. Good luck with your training!

We are driving five hours both ways to bring her home. I’m nervous because of the long car ride and how late it will be when we finally get home! Is it okay to let her sleep in my bed just one night and start crate training the next day?

@Mick, Thanks for visiting our site. Our puppy name had to start with the letter “D” and we did a poll on our Facebook Fanpage to try and get as many “D” name suggestions as possible. Dublin was our favorite.
