There is a Maltese that can range in size from about 3 pounds to 8 pounds with the accepted size for the show ring being 4-7 pounds. You should know that “toy” Maltese is just a marketing term used by puppy mills and backyard breeders. No reputable Maltese breeder would use the term Toy when referring to the Maltese breed.
