The puppy days sometimes aren’t so fun, but I do have some good memories of my pups. For instance, I have some video of a wild and crazy black Lab puppy (Stetson). Now he just likes to lie down next to me and sleep 🙂

We get some puppies who like the taste of the bitter apple spray too. It works for some, but not for others. I guess it’s not very helpful if your dogs think of it as a treat. Yes, the play biting with puppies and sharp little dagger teeth is very annoying.

I think I’d have to agree with you although I’ve never been a school teacher. I do have fond memories of all the pups I’ve trained.

Linus is going to be 8 and he still acts like a puppy too. Stetson is 5 and acts like an old man. Thanks for stopping by!

Puppies are cute, but exhausting! Every time I think about getting another puppy I try to remember back to the potty training, crate training, biting, chewing, sleepless nights, etc then I remember that it’s a lot of work…maybe just postpone the cuteness a little bit further…

Ah the bitter apple. All of our Chessies thought that was a sort of treat for them…lol. We are still working in the not biting with Freighter. It is play biting, but still I don’t want that. Thunder used to play bite too. I think he was about 18 months and one day his play biting vanished over night. I hope Freighter catches on a bit sooner. 🙂
