The vet gave us a few things to put on the areas that are irritated. His chin looks much better. I can’t tell with his legs/paws yet. We have to give his fur a chance to grow back.

We never did find out what Nori was allergic too. Upon reflection though, she was sniffing any number of suspect items at the park… it could have been funghi, insect bites etc.

The original fasting was definitely because of the metal bristles she had initially ingested, but the subsequent lack of eating was probably due to the fact that her system was so hyped on the antihistamine. When we ran into our vet at the dog park a few weeks later, we mentioned it to him and he said we gave her the correct dosage and was puzzled about her reaction to it. He did warn us that next time, we should be monitoring her breathing because that much swelling around the face could have obstructed her airways.

We took her camping that same weekend…so she slept in the tent with us and was completely returned to normal….although a little hungrier than usual. Poor thing.

Is Stetson scratching a lot? (He really is adorable) We’ve tried putting VitaminE ointment on some spots on her in the past and she didn’t try to lick it. You might want to try a light spray of tea tree oil if he does try to. Hope he feels better soon!

My dog Stetson is having some kind of allergy issues right now, but it seems to just be a skin rash on his chin and legs.

My biggest problem with Stetson is his sniffing.
