Lucifer is an acceptable name haha! Ours is a half mini, he’s small but about 45lbs solid muscle. Wow they are smart… He knows so many words and what all his toys are, which is a game of fetch we play. they definitely need a lot of activity AND stimulation. They love structure and follow a routine. He is very possessive and protective, doesn’t like new people, and will nip at their feet. He has a very strong herding instinct and will chase cars or bikes. He would also try to herd our cat to keep him out of the bedroom. We got one of those training tools that emit a high pitched sound and it has helped tremendously for him to understand what we’re asking him to do. I wouldn’t recommend these dogs unless someone has the space and time to exercise them properly, I also wouldn’t trust this dog around kids unsupervised at all… No way. He’s very sweet and loveable with us but still can be nippy. He communicates a lot by growling even if he isn’t upset or being protective, he could be getting a belly rub. He is just grumpy or that’s how he expresses himself I guess lol. I found a 9″ tennis ball and he loves that to herd around the yard. The only thing I don’t know how to deal with is his constant and unstoppable obsession with licking his dog friend whenever he comes over. We have to physically restrain him because all he does is lick lick lick and his herding instinct has him follow him around until we pull him off, then he is trying to get back to him pulling with all his strength. They love each other though, and the other dog is a good sport for the tongue bath he gets. Just wish they would run around and play like normal dogs.
