We don’t sell our puppies. We work partner with service dog organizations to place them with individuals with disabilities.

I’m glad you found our series of blog posts helpful. We had a second litter of Golden Retrievers that just turned 9 weeks. Raven had 8 in her second litter and it was nice for us to look back at our blog posts and compare the first litter with the second. We’ll put another post together about Raven’s second litter soon.

Having the puppies around was a ton of fun! Raven took care of most of there needs for the first 4 weeks, but the last 4 weeks is a lot of work…lots of poop and pee!

Yes, they are a lot of work. A couple weeks back we had a 13 week old black Lab for 2 weeks and a few weeks before that we had a 9 week old Golden/Lab cross. Everyone goes on vacation in the summer time so lots of puppy sitting at our house.

The first 4 weeks were great! Raven did most of the work to that point, but as they started eating more solid food, getting more active, and getting bigger it started to get real messy in the whelping box and we had to clean the entire area several times a day. It’s funny I’d have days when I left the house for a few hours dreading the disaster when I got home and the whelping box would be totally clean. Other days I’d be gone for 20 minutes and it looked like they had a poop fight in their whelping box.
