In reply to Peggy Martin Ciampo. Wowzers! Those are some big litters! We just finished our fourth and final litter with Raven. Here's what we ended up having:

Veterans Litter - 6 puppies - 4 boys, 2 girls
Bird Litter - 8 puppies - 5 boys, 3 girls
Avengers Litter - 10 puppies - 4 boys, 6 girls
Trolls Litter - 8 puppies - 5 boys, 3 girls

Raven is done having puppies. We may continue to raise litters for service dog groups or possibly rescue groups, but at the moment we don't have plans for future litters.

Our Golden Retrievers: Two females, four litters between them, every litter had 10 puppies!!!! Three litters contained five females and five males.
One litter had seven females and three males.
Everyone was healthy and all lived.

Our Golden Zelda had 7 beautiful pups in May 2019. She had 6 males and only one female who we ended up keeping. Her name is Peggy. We are planning to breed her (Zelda) again this coming May 2021. It will be fun to see how many she has. It was so much fun helping raise all those adorable golden nuggets. We are so excited to do it again.

My golden had 11 puppies! We all thought 8 at the most but nope she had 11 beautiful puppies.

In reply to Steven & Carol Howard. I'm sorry to hear about puppy number 8. We've been lucky so far out of 3 litters we've had all our puppies survive. We did have to make two visits to the emergency vet and Raven did get mastitis, but overall we've been very fortunate.

My Roxy was almost 7 years old when she had her puppies. 10 living. Number 8 was the largest and she did not survive. At 10 days old mom developed mastitis and I had to bottle feed all of them. Needless to say it will be her only litter.

In reply to Ravi Saini. We don't breed our dogs until they are at least 2 years old so they can be screened for any genetic health conditions. I would not recommend breeding a dog until they are at least 2 years old.

My golden retriever 12 month female give 1 female puppy only . I don’t know what is problem .
