This needs to be fixed in this article. Australian shepherds do not have size variances in akc or the original parent club ASCA. Therefore the mini aussie was brought into akc with a strict name change.

Not sure why you’d have to pay $5000 for a mini to have a “good house Australian Shepherd”. If your mini gets to 40lbs, congratulations, you paid mini money for a full size.
