I currently have three. Though I’ve had a few mixed breed dogs at the same time, I will NEVER be without a Dane. They lived between 8.5 to 13 years old. Kind of gotten use to burying damn good dogs (and beat up couches), but my latest one, a male Harlequin, is named ‘Chance’ because there is a ‘chance’ he might outlive me. I’ve always lived in the country and never had a burglar in 43 years either ;^)
