It was really informative. Our amazing 2year old schnoodle, Zorro, will always sleep at my feet when I’m reading in bed. Or at my feet when I’m on the couch. He sleeps in a little cat cave by my feet when I am working at my desk. I know there are reasons for behaviours and wanted to make sure his reasons weren’t bad reasons. He is very socialised and never gets aggressive and doesn’t trip me up. You’re article assured me it is natural pack behaviour and not something to be concerned about.
He is my first dog and he is wonderful, he just loves our family and playing with our cat and brings endless joy to our house. We are so lucky to have him.

I just pet her a little when she does it because I find it cute.

She does trip me up sometimes; but that’s usually because she realizes that I’m walking in the direction of her food bowl and she runs either directly next to or between my legs in order to get there first. She’s getting better at not doing that though. I think she’s finally beginning to understand that I’m not going to refill her bowl every time I go near it.

I was happy to find this article since I was curious about what kind of instinctual response was leading to her obsession with sleeping on my feet.
