I’m definitely not a nutrition expert, but one of the big areas that I noticed when researching is Core had more protein then the Complete Health Formula. One of my initiatives this year is to learn more about dog foods and nutrition since I know it’s an important part of a dog’s health. A site that I often refer to that might be helpful in your research is dogfoodadvisor.com.

So what is the actual difference between the two? I’m having a hard time finding that out and deciding between which to buy.

Thank you for asking. This is a sponsored post and we were offered compensation and a free supply of Wellness Complete Health Grain Free food to try for a short period of time. Wellness is a brand we trusted and have enjoyed with our pets for several years and we wanted to try some of their other products. As I recall the Complete Health line had just moved to Grain Free at the time of this writing and that was one of the prerequisites we had for dog food. Moving to grain free with Stetson seemed to help his allergies and along with the offer from Wellness along with a more affordable grain free dog food from a brand we trusted was something we didn’t want to pass up. Hopefully that helps with your decision.

The foods seem very similar but we were considering doing the same. What were the results over the last month or so? Thanks!

I’m going to have to get on their email list for the monthly coupons. We’re feeding our dogs Wellness Core Grain Free and Wellness Complete Health Grain Free.

I thought we normally moved from puppy food to adult food earlier, but I just checked one of my manuals and it says to move from puppy to adult food at 12 months of age.

Linus is our picky eater and he almost always cleans out his bowl. We’re doing work on the yard and our contractor keeps telling me how good our dog’s coats look. I’m not sure if that’s related to the food we’ve been feeding, but it’s nice to hear.

I plan to keep buying it for him for now. I never know with him because he seems to have random allergies. My puppy is on a different brand for now. At what age do you typically switch your pups from puppy food to adult food?

One of them has skin allergies and the Wellness dog food seems to be minimizing/eliminating the itchiness he feels and his skin is clearing up. Our other dog is a picky eater and usually leaves some extra bites in his bowl, but after switching to the Wellness dog food he eats it all!
