Hi Heidi,

Thanks for the tip! I’ve never tried flipping my pup upside down while they were peeing. I usually try to get them to stop before I pick them up. I might have to try this one of my future pups.

When housebreaking you have to catch them “in the act”. When you find them relieving themselves. Scoop them upside down (flip them on their backs) and carry them that way outside. Being upside down stops the flow of urine . Once in their designated place say your voice command to go and put them down. I will give them a couple of seconds to put it together (command, spot and task) as they start to go again.
